Little Miss No Name was released in 1965 by Hasbro. I have no idea what kind of success she met. There's loads of them on ebay all the time, so she must have sold well, probably thanks to parents trying to teach their kids about poverty rather than kids actually asking for her.

She is surprisingly big, at 15" and her neck is molded in such way to keep her head tilted. She has an extremely sad expression and her right hand stretches out begging for money. She came barefoot, wearing a patched up burlap dress. Her most well known feature, is of course the removable tear on her left eye. She was actually sold as "The doll with...the tear"

i've come across two versions of her box.

On one the rain comes from the right and it reads
I need someone to love me
I am so tired and cold
please take me home with you
and I'll be yours to hold

On the other the background scene is different, the rain comes from the left and it reads:
I need someone to love me
I want to learn to play
please take me home with you
and brush my tear away
